    Every animal adopted from the APCSM undergoes a thorough vetting process. This includes a complete medical exam, up-to-date vaccinations, spaying/neutering, heartworm testing, and any necessary medical treatments or surgeries.

  • You might wonder, "Why charge an adoption fee?" These fees are crucial for us to sustain our operations and provide top-notch care for every animal. While younger, healthier animals may incur veterinary costs ranging from $300 to $600, older or less healthy animals can require $500 to $1,500 or more in medical expenses. These costs often include rehabilitation, or significant surgeries, or extended foster care, making adoption fees essential to our ability to help every animal in need.
